Hanoi Secretary requests to soon complete the route from Linh Nam to Phu Thuong

According to Hanoi Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Ring Road 2.5 (from Linh Nam to Phu Thuong) is a key project of the city, not only meaningful for the future, but also meeting the demands of practical life.

On the afternoon of December 9, Hanoi Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc chaired a meeting with relevant agencies and units to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementing the Ring Road 2.5 project.

The Ring Road 2.5 has a total length of 19.41 km, cross-section of 40-50m, starting point intersecting with Thanh Tri bridgehead road, ending point at Phu Thuong ward. The project started many years ago, has been prolonged for many years and has not been completed yet.

Through the review of the entire Ring Road 2.5 in the city, it is divided into 13 sections. The project has been invested according to the planning of 7.6 km, is implementing investment of 9.36 km, and 2.45 km has not been studied for investment.

Hanoi Party Secretary works with units on implementing the Ring Road 2.5 project.

Currently, one of the biggest difficulties is site clearance related to 5 sections under construction and 3 sections not yet under construction.

Ring Road 2.5 plays a vital role in the traffic system of Hanoi Capital, contributing to connecting inner-city districts from Phu Thuong to Linh Nam, forming a closed loop to distribute traffic volume, reducing pressure on main routes such as Ring Road 2 and Ring Road 3.

In his concluding remarks, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested relevant units to clearly identify political responsibilities to focus wholeheartedly on removing difficulties and obstacles, and implementing the project according to plan.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc especially noted that agencies, units and localities must be very careful in every task, especially in site clearance; focus on basic investigation, grasp the situation, and mobilize people right now.

In addition, the city's agencies and units make full use of mechanisms and policies to remove obstacles, ensure the legitimate rights of the people; and are determined to speed up project progress to achieve the set goals.

The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee emphasized that this is a key project of the city, not only significant for the future development of Hanoi, but also meets the demands of practical life and the people, avoiding waste.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested to mobilize the entire political system to participate, increase propaganda and campaign so that people can share, support and accompany the city to bring the project to the finish line soon.
