At the launch ceremony for volunteers and liaison officers serving the Global Young Parliamentarians Conference, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Bui Quang Huy stated that this is a rare opportunity to showcase Vietnam's achievements.
On the morning of September 12th, the Central Committee of the Youth Union organized a program to deploy volunteers and liaison officers to serve the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians Conference, which will take place in Vietnam from September 14th to 17th.
Attending the program were Mr. Bui Quang Huy , Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union; Mr. Vu Minh Tuan, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office; and Mr. Dinh Cong Sy, Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education , Permanent Vice Chairman of the Young National Assembly Delegates Group.

Speaking at the program, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Bui Quang Huy congratulated the 200 liaison officers and volunteers selected from over 2,000 individuals who registered to participate.
“You are undertaking an important mission. The Global Young Parliamentarians Conference has confirmed 76 international delegations from various regions and territories, with over 300 international delegates and many domestic delegates. The conference has a broad scope and impact, providing a rare opportunity to showcase Vietnam's economic development, the image of the Vietnamese people, and the uniqueness of Vietnamese traditional culture… Mr. Huy emphasized.”

Mr. Bui Quang Huy emphasized that each liaison officer and volunteer needs to pay attention to their attitude and sense of service to make a good impression on the delegates attending the conference, especially the international delegates.
“The image of Vietnam and its people that international delegates will have of their country and people will be partly reflected through each liaison officer and volunteer serving the conference. These liaison officers and volunteers need to uphold the spirit of volunteerism in all conditions and circumstances; maintaining a cheerful, enthusiastic, and professional attitude…,” Huy advised.

In particular, Mr. Huy emphasized that individuals accompanying each delegation should always remember themselves as "cultural ambassadors," helping international delegates remember the country, the people of Vietnam, and the achievements that Vietnam has attained.
"Volunteers need to remember that they are participating in an important multilateral diplomatic event of the National Assembly and the country, so they should try their best to introduce as much as possible to international friends about Vietnam, its people, and the achievements that Vietnam has made," Bui Quang Huy emphasized.

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union expressed confidence that, with thorough preparation in knowledge, skills, health, spirit, and attitude, each liaison officer and volunteer serving the conference will excellently fulfill their assigned tasks; and at the same time, have many beautiful memories from participating in this important event.

Ms. Do Thi Kim Hoa, Director of the National Volunteer Center under the Central Youth Union, said that 200 volunteers and liaison officers, selected from 2,024 applications, served the conference. Most of them are students from major universities; some are Vietnamese students studying abroad, and there is one volunteer from Laos and one from Cambodia.
"All of you are very responsible, conscientiously researching the conference-related content, learning about the countries of the delegations you will be accompanying, and especially, you are all very eager and looking forward to the official conference to serve and contribute to its overall success," Ms. Hoa said.
Young people are eagerly awaiting the conference to take place in Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Vu Ha My, a first-year student at the Foreign Trade University, said she recognized that the greater the honor, the greater the responsibility.
“This is an opportunity for us to learn the knowledge and skills that young people in the new era need. It is also a challenge that motivates us to explore, first and foremost about our own country, as we will now be representing the young generation of Vietnam in interactions with parliamentarians from all over the world. We will need to build a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable image so that international friends have a good impression of Vietnamese youth,” shared Ha My.
