The Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee inspects the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory project.

On November 19th, Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, inspected the progress of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory project, invested by Thanh Cong Group . Accompanying him were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
The Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory, invested by Thanh Cong Group, is built on an area of 36.5 hectares; with a capacity of 120,000 vehicles per year, featuring modern equipment and a high level of automation, conforming to international standards.
Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected the progress of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory project.
After two years of construction, supporting facilities such as the test track, office buildings, LPG supply station, and fuel station have all been completed, ready for the main plant to officially begin trial runs from the end of 2024 and commercial operation from the beginning of 2025. Initially, this will be the plant producing and assembling the first Skoda cars, making Quang Ninh one of the next major automotive manufacturing centers in the country.
The Provincial Party Secretary listened as the investor introduced the factory's assembly line.
In its initial phase of operation, the factory will assemble SUV and B-segment sedan models that suit the current tastes and consumer trends of Vietnamese people. In the next phase, the factory will expand to include environmentally friendly electric vehicles. The products of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory will not only supply TC Group's current core automotive manufacturing and business activities, but will also aim for export; contributing to promoting Vietnam's automotive supporting industry to access regional and global markets.
The Provincial Party Secretary delivered a directive speech at the inspection meeting.
After directly inspecting the progress and listening to reports and proposals from the investor, Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, praised the spirit and responsibility of the investor for their efforts in concentrating resources and manpower to ensure the factory's progress according to plan.
The factory has modern equipment lines and a high level of automation, conforming to international standards.
Emphasizing that the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automotive and Supporting Industry Complex is a key project, a driving force for the province's development in the coming years, and that its completion will contribute to increasing local budget revenue and creating jobs, the comrade requested the investor to maintain the committed schedule, continue to accelerate the completion of the remaining investment items by December 2024, and strive to put it into commercial operation in early 2025. The comrade also directed the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments, and localities to continue providing maximum support for this key project.
The plant will officially begin trial runs from the end of 2024 and commence commercial operation from the beginning of 2025.
Regarding some specific proposals from the investor, the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the province will work alongside the investor to report to central ministries and agencies on the application of preferential mechanisms and policies for the project. For issues related to the allocation of land for leveling, investment in worker housing projects, and completion of connecting transportation infrastructure, the province will direct relevant departments and agencies, and Ha Long City to provide maximum support to complete these matters as soon as possible, ensuring synchronization when the project officially comes into operation.
