Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc: Avoid complaints during the election process

(GLO)- On the morning of November 4, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting of the Steering Committee for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels of Gia Lai province for the 2026-2031 term.

According to the report at the meeting, Implementing the directives of the Politburo and the Prime Minister on leading the implementation of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, the Provincial Party Committee promptly advised the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to issue Plan No. 07-KH/TU dated October 20, 2025 to lead and direct the implementation of election tasks.

Accordingly, the Party Committee has directed the Provincial People's Committee to estimate the number, structure and composition of the Provincial Election Committee and send a document to seek opinions from the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; develop a draft Working Regulation of the Provincial Election Committee and notify the assignment of tasks to members of the Provincial Election Committee as a basis for leadership and direction in implementing specific tasks.

Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee proposed to establish 5 sub-committees to assist, including: personnel sub-committee; information and propaganda sub-committee; security, order, social safety and health sub-committee; complaint and denunciation settlement sub-committee; and logistics sub-committee.

At the meeting, delegates approved the report on assigning tasks to members of the Steering Committee for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels of Gia Lai province, term 2026-2031, and the report and draft decision on the establishment of the Provincial Election Committee.

According to the draft, the Provincial Election Committee has 37 members, including: 1 chairman, 4 vice chairmen and 32 members. Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc is the Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee.

The Vice Chairmen include: Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Rah Lan Chung and Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee: Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Chau Ngoc Tuan - Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

The members are representatives of the Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the National Assembly Delegation of the province; specialized agencies advising and assisting the Provincial Party Committee; armed forces; departments, branches and sectors related to election work and mass organizations.

At the meeting, delegates proposed a number of contents related to guidance on asset declaration for candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels; handling complaints and denunciations from citizens; developing plans to ensure political security and social order and safety.

Along with that is protecting the information system serving the election, preventing and handling acts of spreading false information that affect the election; building digital transformation solutions, applying information technology in implementing election work...

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc agreed to establish the Provincial Election Committee before November 30, 2025. At the same time, he requested the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, in addition to advisory work, to directly direct the implementation of tasks - especially the establishment and assignment of specific tasks to sub-committees and have an organization to act as a focal point connecting the sub-committees in implementing tasks to ensure the election is organized closely and in accordance with regulations.

The members of the Steering Committee coordinate to develop a plan to implement the assigned tasks; in which, doing a good job of logistics, focusing on plans to ensure security, order and social safety before, during and after the election, especially in border areas and at sea. In case of problems arising, they must report and directly participate in handling them.

In addition, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that members of the Steering Committee coordinate with local leaders to develop a plan to widely disseminate information about the election to organizations and people of all walks of life, to avoid complaints and petitions occurring during the election process.
