Since the night of November 2nd, moderate to heavy rains have returned to the border communes of Quang Tri province. Floods have caused water levels in many rivers and streams to rise, cutting off and isolating some villages.

According to statistics, the entire border currently has 24 flooded points and 7 landslide points. In the area of Lang Ho Border Guard Station (Kim Ngan commune), in addition to the flooded spillways, on National Highway 9C (km 29 + 100), more than 1,000 m3 of earth and rock were eroded, cutting off traffic.
At Highway 9B, Tay Long Dai Bridge (km48+20), there is a landslide that threatens to erode the bridge pier. The unit has organized forces to coordinate with local authorities to block traffic to ensure safety.
At noon on November 3, Nguyen Duc Hoang, born in 2009, in Tay Thanh village, Nam Trach commune, was suspected of being drifting on Dinh river. Ly Hoa Border Guard Station mobilized 1 boat, 5 officers to coordinate with local authorities and other forces to organize the search.
Also on the morning of November 3, fishing boat QB-11476-TS of Mr. Hoang Quang Thinh, in Dong Hoi ward, sank due to heavy rain, the pump was not working. Nhat Le Border Guard Station sent forces to coordinate with the family to salvage it for repair.
Faced with the complicated and prolonged flood situation, the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province directed units to evacuate 117 households with 705 people in Ly Ton village, Dakrong commune, and 116 households with 700 people in Bac Trach and Dong Trach communes, Bac Gianh ward.

Faced with the complicated developments of floods and rains, the Quang Tri border guards continue to maintain 41 teams, 155 people and 3 boats on duty at flooded and isolated areas; coordinate with local authorities and forces to set up warnings to prevent people from participating in traffic through overflow and landslide areas; check areas at risk of landslides and floods and be ready to evacuate people to safety.
