Standing out in the square are the Ca Mau shrimp symbol over 20m high, the 28m high national flagpole, a system of 233 artistic musical fountains, and a number of other items such as trees, lighting...
The most prominent of which is the Ca Mau shrimp symbol made of reinforced concrete and ceramic cladding.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, the reason the province chose shrimp as its symbol is because this is the province's strength, exporting more than 1 billion USD each year.
The construction of the shrimp symbol aims to honor the shrimp farming profession and farmers, shrimp industry services, and shrimp's contributions to the province's economy , demonstrating the aspiration to bring shrimp to the world.
