Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission chaired the 55th session of the Central Inspection Commission.

On April 4, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo reviewed and disciplined party members who committed violations and shortcomings.

After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission, the Politburo found that:

During his tenure as Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, bad public opinion, and affecting the prestige of the Party and State.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, during his tenure as Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing corruption, waste, and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, bad public opinion, and reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government.

Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Politburo decided to issue a warning to Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu and remove him from his positions, propose that the Party Central Committee consider removing him from his position as an alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee; propose that the Party Central Committee consider disciplining Mr. Truong Hoa Binh.

Propose that competent authorities promptly enforce administrative discipline in line with party discipline.

Earlier the same morning, the Central Inspection Commission issued a statement about the 55th session, taking place from March 31 to April 3.

At this session, the Central Inspection Committee continued to review the inspection results when there were signs of violations and the review results, and proposed that competent authorities consider and discipline Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, former Politburo member and former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government.

Considering the results of the inspection when there are signs of violations and the results of the review, it is proposed to discipline the following: Nguyen Van Hieu, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Tran Viet Truong, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Manh Dung, former Acting Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee; Pham Ngoc Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, the Central Inspection Committee found that Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, during his tenure as Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, and Mr. Tran Viet Truong, during his tenure as Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, violated the Party's regulations and the State's laws in performing their assigned duties and tasks, in preventing corruption and negativity; Violating regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, reducing the prestige of the party organization and local government, to the point of having to take disciplinary action.

During his tenure as Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, reducing the prestige of the Party organization and the agency, work unit, to the extent that disciplinary action was required.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government, to the point of having to take disciplinary action.

Considering the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to issue disciplinary warnings to Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung, Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi and proposed that competent authorities consider and issue disciplinary warnings to Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu.

The Central Inspection Commission requested the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee to direct, review, and handle other related organizations and individuals.

Also at this Session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed and concluded a number of other important contents.
