The Ministry of Public Security builds a project to establish intermediate-level training facilities under two universities.

This is the request of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha in Notice 33/TB-VPCP concluding the meeting on the proposal to allow the Fire Prevention and Fighting University and the People's Public Security University of Technology and Logistics to organize intermediate-level training.

Accordingly, the Government and the Prime Minister applauded the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security for always upholding the spirit of positivity and proactiveness in training the country's human resources in the new situation. The Deputy Prime Minister basically agreed with the report of the Ministry of Public Security on the necessity of training human resources in the Public Security sector with intermediate qualifications to meet the requirements of the task of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety that the Party and State currently set for the Public Security sector in accordance with the characteristics of schools in the armed forces.

To promptly meet task requirements and comply with Party policies and relevant legal regulations, the Deputy Prime Minister requested:

In the long term, the Ministry of Public Security will coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to continue reviewing and researching the Laws on Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education to advise on amendments to ensure connectivity for learners.

In the immediate future, the Ministry of Public Security, based on its assigned functions and tasks, will develop a Project to establish intermediate-level training facilities under the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting and the University of Engineering - Logistics of the People's Public Security on the basis of arranging and perfecting the organizational structure of these two universities to ensure compliance with the spirit of Resolution No. 22-NQ/TW dated March 15, 2018 of the Politburo on "Continuing to innovate and arrange the organizational structure of the Ministry of Public Security to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently", the Ministry of Home Affairs will appraise or consider the plan to link training between these two higher education institutions with vocational education institutions to organize training to grant intermediate degrees to learners.

The Ministry of Public Security reports to the Prime Minister on issues beyond its authority.
