Nghe An Provincial Border Guard launched a high-point campaign to prevent and combat crimes during the Lunar New Year.

On the afternoon of December 2, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province launched a peak emulation campaign with the theme "Preventing and combating crimes and law violations before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2026".

Representatives of the units signed a covenant to fulfill the contents and targets of the emulation period.

At the launching ceremony, representatives of the units signed a competition agreement, agreeing to synchronously deploy professional measures, focusing on basic investigations on key routes and areas; proactively detecting and fighting against criminal networks and organizations, especially drug crimes, smuggling, trade fraud, human trafficking, illegal immigration and exit, online fraud...

The units are determined to improve the rate of detection, arrest and handling of crimes in terms of number of cases, subjects and evidence.

Nghe An Border Guard will strengthen coordination with the following forces: Police, Customs, Market Management, Coast Guard and Lao functional forces in exchanging information, fighting special cases, strictly controlling the border, and capturing criminals hiding on both sides of the border.

Along with that, the units stepped up advising local Party committees and authorities to propagate the law, raise vigilance for people in border areas. Promote the movement of all people participating in crime prevention and control, protecting territorial sovereignty and border security. In addition, promptly commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, typical advanced models during the peak period.

Nghe An province has a land border of more than 468km, bordering three provinces: Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang, Bo Ly Kham Xay (Laos). In recent times, the Border Guard of Nghe An province has not only performed well the task of managing the area and protecting sovereignty, but also become a solid support for the Party committees, authorities and people in the border areas of the Fatherland.
