Adding a new standard English option for students.
Accordingly, the levels of the PEIC certificate are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as equivalent to the 6 levels of the Vietnamese National Competency Framework for Foreign Languages, as follows:
KNLNNVN | NOIC | |
Beginner | Level 1 | Level A1 |
Level 2 | Level 1 | |
Intermediate level | Level 3 | Level 2 |
Level 4 | Level 3 | |
High-class | Level 5 | Level 4 |
Level 6 | Level 5 | |
Thus, in addition to familiar English proficiency standards in Vietnam such as IELTS and TOEFL, the PEIC international English certificate scores will officially be used for university admissions and training purposes, and may also be applied as an English proficiency standard for students at the secondary and postgraduate levels, opening up new opportunities and choices for English learners in Vietnam.
What is the PEIC certification?
The PEIC certificate is an international English proficiency standard encompassing four skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) for students and working professionals. The PEIC exam is divided into six levels, corresponding to the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), allowing for a close assessment of learners' abilities and progress at each stage of language improvement.
The PEIC certificate is awarded by Pearson Education Group, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious educational organizations and also the largest examination board in the United Kingdom. The PEIC exam is widely administered in many countries around the world, and the certificate is recognized by businesses, universities, and government agencies in Europe, America, Asia, and Africa, including the UK's Office for Qualifications and Examinations (OFQUAL), the Italian Ministry of Education, the Spanish Foreign Office, and others.
A significant advantage of the PEIC certificate series compared to other popular international English certificates in Vietnam is the fineness of the scoring scale and the flexibility it offers to test-takers. The PEIC certificate series is divided into 6 levels, each corresponding to a proficiency level from A1 to C2 on the CEFR framework. Therefore, candidates can choose to take the exam at a precise level that suits their aspirations and individual language abilities.
Furthermore, the PEIC exam is designed based on real-life language situations, familiar to English learners, and uses familiar question types that are easy for test-takers to understand. The PEIC exam also has a consistent structure across its six levels, which helps learners become familiar with the exercise types and build confidence in using the language naturally, providing a positive and encouraging experience for test-takers on their journey to mastering the language.
How do I participate in the PEIC competition?
