Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development selected 1 village in Cam Xuyen to pilot clean water model

The clean water model of Minh Hoa village, Yen Hoa commune (Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh) is one of four models included by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the group of rural clean water supply models, a pilot list under the Program to strengthen environmental protection, food safety and rural clean water supply in new rural construction in the period of 2021-2025.

Deputy Chief of the Central Office for New Rural Development Coordination Tran Nhat Lam surveyed the implementation of the clean water model in Minh Hoa village, Yen Hoa commune, Cam Xuyen district.

The requirements for the model are simple operating techniques, low cost, sustainable operation (can be handed over to the community for management and operation); priority is given to areas that do not have access to centralized water sources, areas with scarce and difficult water sources. The water supply meets QCVN 01-1:2018/BYT standards.

The clean water model in the village will contribute to implementing environmental criteria and quality of living environment in the locality.

To implement the model to ensure progress, the Provincial People's Committee Office issued Document No. 448/VPUB-NL5 dated October 12, 2023 on assigning staff to implement Decision No. 4165/QD-BNN-VPDP dated October 10, 2023 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on approving the list of pilot models under the Program to strengthen environmental protection, food safety and rural clean water supply in new rural construction in the period of 2021-2025.

Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office, relevant departments, branches, units and localities to study and advise the Provincial People's Committee to implement the contents as required by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the above decision; report to the Provincial People's Committee before October 25, 2023.
