Ministry of Health donates 1.6 billion VND to support people and medical staff in Tuyen Quang province

Comrade Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health and Comrade Hoang Viet Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented gifts to support people in Binh Phu commune (Chiem Hoa).

Receiving and working with the delegation were comrade Hoang Viet Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Health .

According to preliminary statistics from the health sector, the whole province has 2 hospitals, 4 medical stations (belonging to the City Health Center) flooded and 2 medical stations suffered landslides; some units suffered damage to facilities and machinery such as Kim Xuyen Regional General Hospital, Hoang Viet General Hospital, Phuong Bac General Hospital... During the flood, more than 200 medical staff had their houses flooded with 2m of water or more.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Health expressed his condolences for the damage caused by storm No. 3 in the province in general and the health sector in particular. He hoped that the Party Committee, government and health sector would continue to implement measures to overcome the consequences of the storm and flood.

He suggested that the provincial Department of Health actively direct environmental treatment, communicate disease prevention to people in areas affected by floods caused by storms; carry out humanitarian medical examination and treatment activities, and provide free medicine...

On this occasion, the leaders of the Ministry of Health donated 1.6 billion VND to support people and medical staff affected by storm No. 3 with the desire to share and support units and people to overcome difficulties.

Previously, the delegation presented 260 gifts to people in Binh Phu commune, Chiem Hoa district affected by storms and floods.
