For the past 3 years, Mr. Pham Xuan Cong, Thanh Sen Ward, has maintained the daily habit of checking his family's electricity consumption from the previous day via the customer care app of the Northern Power Corporation: EVNNPC CSKH. With this method, he can completely proactively regulate his family's electricity usage habits.
Mr. Cong shared: “In 2022, when instructed by the staff of Ha Tinh City Electricity (old), I installed this customer care app and it was very effective. Through the app, I can quickly look up the electricity bill and specific electricity consumption index of each day and each month. Thanks to that, I can easily compare and know the specific difference in electricity each month of my family. Especially during peak months like now, I will monitor every day, control so that my family uses 18 - 20 kWh each day is appropriate. On days when the electricity consumption increases, I will reduce some electrical appliances to ensure savings and not exceed the family's living expenses."
To proactively regulate electricity usage in her family and business, Ms. Nguyen Thi Chau - owner of a photocopy shop on Phan Dinh Phung Street (Thanh Sen Ward, Ha Tinh) was recently instructed by the Thanh Sen Area Electricity Management Team to install a customer care app.
Ms. Chau said: “The store has 2 photocopiers, 2 large capacity air conditioners and a computer system, paper cutters... quite a lot. Therefore, the monthly electricity consumption of the store is quite large, ranging from 1.8 - 2.5 million VND/month; in June alone it was 3.3 million VND, an increase of 30% compared to May. Along with reasonable usage solutions, only turning on the air conditioner from 9-10am to 4pm every day, turning off the circuit breaker before leaving... now I have been guided by the staff of the Thanh Sen Regional Electricity Management Team to install the customer care app. Initially, I found it quite easy and convenient to use.”
To install EVNNPC's CSKH app on your phone, customers access the App Store or CH Play (depending on the phone's operating system) and enter the keyword EVNNPC CSKH or Northern Electricity in the search section, download and install.
When needing to access, customers type their customer code on the login interface "Account Name" and the password provided by the electricity industry.
The application supports customers to update timely information about electricity bills, view free electricity bills, power outage schedules, pay electricity bills online, receive electronic bills, register for electricity services... In addition, the application also helps you send help requests to the electricity company in just a few seconds on your phone completely free of charge.
Use electricity properly and economically
According to the Control Department (Ha Tinh Electricity Company), at this time, the total electricity consumption of the province fluctuates from 5.6 to 5.7 million kWh/day, a sharp increase compared to the average of 4.0 to 4.5 million kWh/day under normal weather conditions. In the coming days, the peak capacity of the system is forecast to fluctuate from 370 to 410 MW.
The hot weather in the summer days has caused the demand for cooling devices such as air conditioners, electric fans, refrigerators, etc. to continue to increase, creating great pressure on the power system. Mr. Tran Duc Son - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Electricity Company informed: "In the past time, the company has increased maintenance and inspection of the power grid to ensure safe and stable power supply for customers. In the ongoing hot weather, the company has promoted propaganda about saving electricity and how to use electricity reasonably through many channels such as SMS messages, social networks, newspapers, etc. so that many people know and implement it."
Accordingly, for household electricity, people need to turn off devices when not in use; prioritize the use of energy-saving labeled devices, such as: using LED bulbs instead of conventional bulbs, using cooling products with energy-saving features; taking advantage of natural light, turning off devices when not in use...
When using air conditioning, people should turn it on at 26°C or higher, combined with a fan; do not use many high-capacity devices at the same time; limit electricity use during high-load hours (12:30 - 15:30 and 21:00 - 23:00); consider installing a solar power system if possible.
For businesses, it is necessary to strictly implement internal regulations on electricity saving, periodic maintenance of machinery, closely coordinate with the electricity industry in load adjustment, proactively plan electricity usage according to grid capacity...
According to the records of the centers and supermarkets of electronics and refrigeration in the area, the demand of people to buy devices with energy-saving features has increased and accounts for about 80% of the number of customers. Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - representative of Hong Ha Shopping Center said: "Most customers when buying devices such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, etc. are interested in the energy-saving features of the products. To meet the needs of customers, we also pay more attention to these types of products. Currently, 70% of the refrigeration products sold at Hong Ha are energy-saving."
