This morning (June 28), candidates taking the 2024 high school graduation exam will take one of two combined exams: natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) or social sciences (history,geography , civics).
Vo Thanh Dat (class 12A12) and Phi Trinh Phuong Anh (12A1, Bui Thi Xuan High School, Ho Chi Minh City) commented that the exam questions for Natural Sciences and Social Sciences were similar to those in 2023. To get a score of 9 or 10, students must invest and concentrate. In general, the exam level was easy for students.

This year, only 37% chose the natural science exam (physics, chemistry, biology), while the remaining 63% chose the social science exam (history, geography, civics).
Compared to last year, the number of candidates choosing the social science exam increased by 7.7% and is the highest in the past 6 years. From 2018 to now, the number of people registering for this exam is about 48-56%.

Commenting before the exam, teacher Pham Le Thanh, chemistry teacher at Nguyen Hien High School, Ho Chi Minh City, predicted that the exam would be highly differentiated.
"Following the exam trend with two goals, the following subjects will definitely have differentiated and strongly differentiated questions to achieve the goal of screening candidates for universities," Mr. Thanh expressed.
