The deal comes as the European football transfer window is about to close. Lille are said to have spent €3 million to recruit Indonesian defender Calvin Verdonk from NEC Nijmegen on a 3-year contract.

At Lille, Calvin Verdonk will wear the number 24 shirt. After recruiting the Indonesian defender, Lille club president Olivier Letang said the reason the French team is interested in Calvin Verdonk.
