District chief inspector drove car into funeral theater, 5 people injured

(NLĐO) - A car driven by Mr. H. unexpectedly crashed into a funeral tent set up on the road, injuring 5 people.

On January 1st, the Traffic Police Department announced that the driver of the car that crashed into a funeral tent on Provincial Road 392, in the town of Kẻ Sặt, Bình Giang district ( Hải Dương province), injuring 5 people, was Mr. Vũ Đình H., Chief Inspector of the People's Committee of Bình Giang district.

According to information from the Hai Duong Provincial Police, at approximately 1:57 PM on December 31, 2024, at kilometer 0+100 on Provincial Road 392, Zone 1, Ke Sat town, Binh Giang district, Mr. Vu Dinh H. was driving a car with license plate 34A-707.xx in the direction from Phu to Ke Sat when he crashed into a funeral tent erected by the family of Mr. D.VT (born in 1967, residing in Zone 1, Ke Sat town) on the road in front of their house.

As a result, the car driven by Mr. H. crashed into the funeral tent, injuring the homeowner's son and three other people.

Authorities initially determined that the cause was the driver's lack of observation, resulting in a collision with a funeral tent erected on the opposite side of the road. This was also attributed to the fact that Mr. D.VT's family had erected the tent on Provincial Road 392.

Regarding this incident, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, instructed the Binh Giang District Police and relevant agencies and units to urgently investigate and strictly handle the individuals who violated the law.

At the same time, the People's Committee of Binh Giang district is requested to clarify and consider the responsibility of the organizations and individuals involved in allowing people to erect funeral tents in the middle of the road.
