Fire at 1,000 m2 foam factory in Binh Duong

A fire broke out at a foam manufacturing factory in Thuan An City and spread, destroying all the property inside, on the afternoon of November 28.

At approximately 10:30 AM, a fire broke out in the corner of the Thinh Hung Co., Ltd. factory, which specializes in producing foam, located in Binh Chuan ward.

Many workers fled while on duty, while others tried to put out the fire, but without success. Due to the highly flammable materials, the fire quickly engulfed the entire nearly 1,000 square meter factory, sending columns of smoke rising dozens of meters into the air.

The Binh Duong police deployed more than 10 fire trucks and nearly 100 officers and soldiers to the scene. Due to the large fire, the firefighting force had to split into multiple directions to spray water, while simultaneously cooling the surrounding areas to prevent the fire from spreading.

By 1 PM, the fire was largely under control. The fire caused no casualties, but all the property and goods inside the factory were completely destroyed.

The cause is under investigation.
