According to Sina, in an interview with Hong Kong media, the sister of famous singer Coco Lee said the family has not been able to sleep since her sister was hospitalized on July 2 and does not believe that she has passed away.

"My heart was broken every time I entered the hospital room and saw my sister, looking at the numbers displayed on the heart rate monitor and the ventilator. I stared at it every second. When I heard the beep, my whole body trembled," her sister Coco Lee emotionally recounted.

Coco Lee's mother tried to save her daughter but she fell into a coma before being taken to the hospital.

Coco Lee's sister said the family discovered the singer committed suicide after she stayed in the bathroom for too long on the evening of July 2.

She was taken to the hospital shortly after. On the way to the hospital, the singer fell into a coma and stopped breathing.

The singer was diagnosed with brain death by doctors. The hospital advised her family to take Coco Lee home, but the singer's mother begged the doctors to save her daughter.

The doctor then suggested removing the breathing tube because it was difficult to save her. However, the singer's mother (who is a doctor of Oriental medicine) did not give up. She stood in front of her daughter's hospital bed, hoping for a miracle.

On July 5, knowing that the situation could not improve, relatives agreed to remove the breathing tube and take the female singer home.

According to Yahoo, Coco Lee's assets exceed one billion HKD (128 million USD), including real estate, company shares, revenue from music production, and participation in TV shows.

Upon hearing the news of singer Coco Lee's passing, many Chinese stars expressed their condolences. King of film music Mao Bu Yi wrote: "It's always a pleasure to meet you, except today, forever."

Singer Lam Tuan Kiet also shared: "It's so painful to lose my dearest sister. I can only sigh why life doesn't treat a beautiful soul like her kindly. This world has lost a passionate artist with wonderful performances. The music universe is no longer the same. Sister Coco Lee, we will always remember you."

Taiwanese singer Rainie Rain said that Coco Lee was her first idol: "My first idol, the example I always follow. She is always enthusiastic with the audience, always using warmth to cheer up her juniors. It's really heartbreaking."
