With the message "Convergence, Creativity - Shining Together," the 2024 International Dance Festival brings together nearly 500 artists and performers from 17 art troupes in 9 countries: the United Arab Emirates, Laos, the Philippines, China, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, and host country Vietnam. Pictured is the performance of "Yen Lam" by the Bong Sen troupe (contemporary folk dance drama).
With the play "Modern Times," the Thang Long song and dance troupe wants to convey the message to save the art of Tuong (Vietnamese classical opera), which is fading away over time.
The Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre presents the play "Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet" (Carp Gazing at the Moon), depicting the image of a carp gazing at the moon on a full moon night.
The Ha Giang delegation performed the contemporary folk dance "The Mask". The event showed that international delegations invested in choreography. Vietnamese art troupes, in particular, achieved outstanding success through their performances and independent dance works.
The works focus on themes and materials from folk dances of different ethnic groups and regions, subtly combined with modern dance, affirming the creativity and talent of the younger generation of choreographers and dancers.
