My husband was angry because I refused to invite his close female colleague to the wedding.

(Dan Tri) - I decided not to invite her to the wedding, but my husband disagreed. He said this would "damage his reputation".

After spending most of the year carefully planning the wedding, I felt like my husband's co-workers were "casting a shadow" over everything.

She and my husband have worked together for over 10 years and are quite close. They spend a lot of time texting each other, often talking late at night and sharing personal stories. This makes me feel like the third wheel in my own relationship.

At first, I was actually relieved that my husband had a close friend at work because his job was stressful and isolating. I tried to be a great, understanding partner and didn't mind how close my husband and his co-workers were to the opposite sex.

But over time, their relationship gradually went beyond the limit, leaving me not knowing how to handle it.

That co-worker knew things about my husband that sometimes I didn't. It hurt me to realize that he often turned to her for advice, instead of me.

At times like these, he reassured me that we were just friends and close at work, "it was no big deal". But it seemed like she had become so close that I felt like an outsider.

She even complained about the wedding venue and the bouquet, saying that my husband "never liked bright colors." She also said that my husband wouldn't like my wedding dress because she "knew his style."

I tried to laugh it off, but the criticism from my husband's female colleague made me feel hurt and insecure about our relationship.

Things finally came to a head at our engagement party, where I caught my husband talking intimately with a female colleague. She seemed to have said she was waiting for him, which left me stunned. After the party, I confronted my husband about it, but he brushed it off, saying "it was just a joke."

I felt like I was going crazy, like I had seen something that wasn't real, but... how could anyone feel okay hearing that from someone so close to their husband?

That's when I decided not to invite her to my wedding, but my husband disagreed. He said it would "damage his reputation at work".

The above story caused a stir on social networks after being posted. The online community commented that the bride’s decision not to invite her husband’s female colleague to the wedding was completely correct.

"The female colleague's words were really inappropriate and the fact that your fiancé was willing to stand by her and choose her over you is worrying," one commenter said.

"I can totally predict on your wedding day she'll try to get her foot in the door," another said.

"The husband saw this situation as having to choose between two women. He put his colleague in the same position as his wife. This is unacceptable," netizens commented.
