Immediately after the clip appeared, the police force of Tien Duc commune, along with local government officials, took action, temporarily impounding the sugarcane juice vendor's cart at the commune police station and summoning the owner for questioning.

Authorities also instructed this person not to sell sugarcane juice in the Tran Temple area, Mr. Tuan informed.

Captain Bui Trung Thanh, Head of Tien Duc Commune Police, said that during questioning, the owner of the sugarcane juice stall denied re-serving leftover juice to customers. However, the video footage is too clear and unacceptable.

The local police confiscated the selling equipment and permanently shut down the sugarcane juice stall. "This is a lesson for other businesses. We have also reminded stalls in the Tran Temple area to strictly comply with food safety and hygiene regulations," Captain Thanh shared.

There are currently over 200 food stalls and shops operating at Tran Temple.

Previously, on February 16th, a video appeared on social media showing a sugarcane juice vendor near the Tran Temple gate (Thai Binh province) engaging in unsanitary food practices. The vendor was a woman wearing a light purple floral shirt and a conical hat.

The footage was filmed by someone standing on a raised platform. The vendor pours sugarcane juice from a large pitcher into small cups, then serves them to customers.

According to the person filming the video, the glass of sugarcane juice that the shop owner brought out for the customer was actually made from two leftover glasses of sugarcane juice that previous customers had drunk at the shop.

The ice cubes from the old glass of water were still there. The straw was dipped by the owner into a bucket of cloudy water behind the sugarcane juice cart. The girl said that the owner had previously dipped a table cleaning cloth into this bucket of water.
