According to the Organizing Committee, this year's awards ceremony will be organized with innovative content and methods to honor authors with outstanding works that win awards. The awards ceremony will be solemn, have profound political and social significance, and have a strong impact on the journalistic community and society as a whole; it will serve to unite and bring together the large number of reporters and journalists working in media agencies and Journalists' Associations at all levels nationwide.

The main focus is on honoring the award-winning authors, along with spectacular artistic programs featuring renowned artists and captivating performances with modern sound and lighting effects.

Out of 165 shortlisted entries, the judging panel discussed, evaluated, and voted to select 10 A prizes, 26 B prizes, 45 C prizes, and 41 Consolation prizes to award at the 18th National Journalism Awards in 2023. A key highlight was the serious and meticulous investment in many entries, with content that highlighted new issues, critically examined major policies of the Party and State, and proposed innovative solutions and effective approaches with significant social impact. Many entries demonstrated professionalism, appeal, and the spirit of modern journalism.

Not only central media outlets, but also many local media organizations have made changes in their approach to selecting topics and implementing them in a new, modern way, which has been highly appreciated for both its quality and presentation.

With each passing season, the quality of the entries improves, and the gap between central and local media is narrowing.
