At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue welcomed and highly appreciated the business activities of the corporations in recent times, as well as the plans and orientations for development and cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises in the coming time.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that Bangladeshi corporations and enterprises proactively seek information, policies, regulations, and incentives of Vietnam in their areas of strength from official sources such as the Embassy, relevant ministries and sectors, etc.; research investment and cooperation with a number of potential and capable Vietnamese partners to develop the market and cooperate in business in areas where Bangladeshi corporations in Vietnam have strengths such as real estate, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, industrial park construction, tourism, etc.
Listening to the reports and recommendations and proposals of Bangladeshi businesses, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue affirmed that the Vietnam-Bangladesh relationship is developing well, with mutual trust, rapid economic cooperation and great potential... This is a solid foundation for businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation.
Exchanging information on Vietnam's current development situation, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that as of the end of August 2023, Vietnam had 37,084 valid investment projects with a total registered capital of more than 453.26 billion USD from 143 countries and territories. Currently, Bangladesh has a total of 19 valid investment projects in Vietnam with a total registered investment capital of 940,000 USD.
Affirming that Vietnam is a country with a sustainably developing economy, a stable growth rate of gross domestic product (GDP), a large population with a rapidly growing middle class, and constantly improving per capita income, with the contents that your businesses are interested in, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that Vietnam and Bangladesh are large markets with great potential for the consumption of goods and quality products.
In addition, sharing issues of concern to Bangladeshi businesses regarding the prospects of promoting cooperation between the two countries, and hoping that the leaders of the two countries will consider signing a free trade agreement (FTA) in the future, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that Vietnam has deeply integrated into the international community with 16 FTAs signed with more than 60 countries and territories, including new generation FTAs such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP)...

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue informed about a number of recent orientation policies and law-making programs, including amending and supplementing legal provisions to meet practical life requirements and increasingly deep international integration requirements.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that corporations and business associations with large branch networks will be a bridge to bring potential investors from inside and outside Bangladesh to invest in Vietnam, and at the same time actively promote and introduce information about Vietnamese enterprises to domestic enterprises.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue received the leader of the Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB), an organization representing about 3,500 businesses in the aviation and tourism sectors of Bangladesh. ATAB supports member businesses in seeking business opportunities and exploiting potential markets to promote aviation and tourism activities between Bangladesh and regional and international countries.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue welcomed and highly appreciated the effectiveness of ATAB's activities, its contribution to the development of Bangladesh's tourism industry in recent times as well as its plans and projects to develop cooperative relations with Vietnam in the coming time.
ATAB leaders and Bangladeshi economic groups also said that Vietnam has always been considered an attractive tourist destination in the region and continent, with explosive growth after the Covid-19 pandemic.
These are favorable conditions, opening up opportunities for businesses and tourism service providers of the two countries, promoting and developing business cooperation between the business communities of the two countries in the coming time.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue stated that recently, the Vietnamese National Assembly passed the amended law on exit and entry, thereby expanding and creating maximum favorable conditions, extending the duration of e-visas for international visitors and this will contribute to promoting the development of Vietnam's tourism industry.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that ATAB promote cooperation and close coordination with relevant sectors and partners of Vietnam to promote the image of the two countries and people, thereby encouraging tourism growth in each country.
