Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi is the Head of the Steering Committee for implementing social insurance and health insurance policies in Lam Dong province.

On September 10, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to establish a Steering Committee for implementing social insurance (SI) and health insurance (HI) policies in Lam Dong province.

The Steering Committee is headed by Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Mr. Vo Ngoc Hiep, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, is the Standing Deputy Head of the Committee.

Lam Dong Provincial Social Insurance organizes many campaigns to propagate and mobilize people to participate in social insurance and health insurance to achieve the 2025 plan target.

The Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee include Mr. Dang Hong Tuan, Director of the Provincial Social Insurance; Le Thi Theu, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Vo Thi Ai Lieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Health ; Bui Thi Tuyet Mai, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance.

The task of the Steering Committee is to advise the Provincial People's Committee on directing the implementation of the Government's policies, strategies, mechanisms and policies on implementing social insurance and health insurance policies in the province; develop and assign targets for developing social insurance and health insurance participants to include in the annual socio -economic development targets of each level; mobilize legal resources, combined with appropriate budget support for the people to expand coverage, ensuring the completion of assigned targets every year.

In addition, the Steering Committee directs agencies, units, and localities to organize the implementation of social insurance, health insurance policies, and related contents according to the provisions of law; perform other tasks as required by the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and competent authorities.

It is estimated that by September 2025, Lam Dong will have more than 2.9 million people participating in health insurance (reaching 94.07%); more than 235,000 people participating in compulsory social insurance (reaching 90.56%); more than 44,000 people participating in voluntary social insurance (reaching 44.25%) and more than 214,000 people participating in unemployment insurance (reaching 90.76%).
