Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee requested to strengthen citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requests the heads of departments, agencies, and the chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to strictly implement the following: Continue to effectively organize citizen reception, paying particular attention to the regular citizen reception schedule of the heads of departments, agencies, and the chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities (ensuring at least one day of regular citizen reception per month) in accordance with the Law on Citizen Reception and within the time frame as issued by the unit or locality.

The Chairpersons of the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities shall direct the Chairpersons of the People's Committees of communes, wards, and townships to assign commune-level officials to perform the tasks of receiving citizens, processing petitions, and resolving complaints and denunciations, ensuring that they meet the standards and duties in accordance with Government Decree No. 33 dated June 10, 2023, regulating commune-level officials, civil servants, and non-specialized personnel at the commune, village, and residential group levels.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested a focused, comprehensive, and synchronized implementation of solutions to improve the effectiveness of citizen reception and complaint resolution; and to promptly and correctly resolve citizen reception and complaint resolution in accordance with the law.

Regularly organize inspections, reviews, and definitively resolve outstanding, large-scale, complex, and protracted cases. Inspect, review, compile statistics, and report to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Provincial Inspectorate) on outstanding, large-scale, complex, and protracted complaints and denunciations; the reporting deadline is before September 30, 2024.
