
The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a Decision to establish a Steering Committee to implement the Investment Project to build Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 (Steering Committee).
The Steering Committee is headed by Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc as Head; Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong as Permanent Deputy Head; Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Hoang Nguyen Dinh as Deputy Head in charge of directing the work of compensation, support and resettlement of the project; Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha and Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam as Deputy Heads.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction is the standing agency of the Steering Committee, directing the implementation of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project. The Department is also responsible for promptly resolving any problems arising during the organization and implementation of the project.
In case of exceeding authority, promptly report to the National Assembly, the Government, and the Prime Minister for consideration and decision; direct the implementation of the Project Coordination Regulations among ministries, branches, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, People's Committees of Dong Nai and Tay Ninh provinces and related units.
Agencies under the People's Committees of provinces and Ho Chi Minh City are responsible for providing information, coordinating implementation, and assigning staff to participate in solving tasks within the functions and authority of the unit. At the same time, they are allowed to invite organizations and experts to advise, give comments, and criticize related issues during the implementation process; and evaluate mechanisms, policies, organizations, and measures to implement the project.
