Prepare well for the Great Unity Day of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic

On the morning of February 13, in Hanoi , Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Viet Truong warmly received a delegation of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Czech Republic (Union) who came to visit the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

Expressing his emotion when visiting the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on behalf of overseas Vietnamese in the Czech Republic, Mr. Tran Van Dang, Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Czech Republic, expressed his deep gratitude for the attention of the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the past time, especially the recognition and rewards for individuals who have made many contributions to the community as well as their companionship in charity work.

Mr. Tran Van Dang also expressed his honor that at the ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Vietnamese People in the Czech Republic (November 15, 2024), Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the First and Third Class Labor Orders of the State to the Association of Vietnamese People in the Czech Republic and three individuals to recognize the contributions, efforts, and achievements of the Association of Vietnamese People in the Czech Republic and these individuals. Also at the ceremony, many individuals and groups were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

At the same time, the Association successfully organized the 7th Congress (2024-2029), marking a new milestone in the development of the Association. Immediately after that, with the coordination of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic, during the official visit to the Czech Republic from January 18-20, 2025 of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , the Association organized a meeting program with Vietnamese expatriates in the Czech Republic, organized the Spring Homeland 2025 program for the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic with the participation of the Prime Minister and his wife.

Affirming that the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic is one of the recognized ethnic minority communities in the Czech Republic, Mr. Tran Van Dang said that, promoting its role, the Association, together with the Vietnamese generation in the Czech Republic, will build programs of activities to unite the community, especially the pilot organization of the National Great Unity Day in 2025 in the Czech Republic.

"We hope that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee will continue to support the Association in activities towards the homeland, charity projects such as building schools for children in mountainous areas, supporting compatriots affected by natural disasters, storms and floods...; create conditions for the young generation of overseas Vietnamese to participate in the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in localities with compatriot associations; at the same time, we hope to establish a dialogue channel between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and overseas Vietnamese around the world. The Association also hopes to receive the coordination, facilitation and companionship of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, thereby mobilizing the cooperation of overseas Vietnamese to contribute to the development of the homeland and the country", Mr. Tran Van Dang expressed.

Highly appreciating the contributions and efforts of Vietnamese expatriates in the Czech Republic over the past period, Vice Chairman Tran Viet Truong affirmed that the community connection and activities of expatriates directed towards their homeland, contributing to the development of the host country, have been recognized by the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front through various forms of commendation, especially the assessments of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh regarding the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic during his visit and working trip in early 2025. In particular, the recognition of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic as ethnic minorities affirms the efforts and contributions of expatriates to the development of the host country.

Regarding the socio-economic situation of the country, as well as the world and the region in 2024, Vice Chairman Tran Viet Truong stated that, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the spirit of solidarity among Vietnamese people at home and abroad has been strongly promoted, accompanying the Party, the State, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in achieving the set socio-economic development targets. A testament to this spirit of great solidarity is the joint effort to support resources to help people in the northern provinces overcome the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi).

"The Vietnam Fatherland Front highly appreciates and acknowledges the contributions of overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic over the past year when joining hands to support compatriots affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi); actively reflecting opinions and recommendations of overseas Vietnamese to the Party and State; and at the same time connecting the ideas and contributions of overseas Vietnamese to the country's development," Vice President Tran Viet Truong stated.

Emphasizing that through the 7 Congresses of the Association, the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic has grown stronger and stronger, demonstrating the role of overseas Vietnamese in contributing to the development of the host country as well as joining hands to develop the homeland and the country, Vice President Tran Viet Truong hopes that in the coming time, the community will continue to promote its strengths and have many specific activities and actions to promote the spirit of solidarity between overseas Vietnamese and compatriots in the country, contributing to building the homeland and the country increasingly rich and strong, so that Vietnam can firmly step into a new era - the era of national development.

It is necessary to focus on building and developing applications on digital platforms to provide useful information on law, economics, culture, health, and education for overseas Vietnamese in the Czech Republic and connect more strongly with overseas Vietnamese around the world. At the same time, it is necessary to prepare well for the organization of the Great Unity Day for Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic to promote the solidarity of overseas Vietnamese in the community.

On this occasion, Vice President Tran Viet Truong respectfully sent greetings from Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien; at the same time, he emphasized that President Do Van Chien highly appreciated the contributions of overseas Vietnamese in the Czech Republic to the host country as well as always turned towards their homeland and country.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President Tran Viet Truong sent sincere thanks and best wishes for good health and a prosperous new year to the Association and all Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic and hoped that the Association would continue to have more meaningful activities towards the homeland and country.
