Previously, at the 2024 Annual General Meeting held in March 2024, VIX Securities announced to shareholders its capital increase plans. Specifically, VIX will issue shares as dividends at a rate of 10%, equivalent to issuing 66.9 million shares.
In addition, VIX also plans to offer additional shares to existing shareholders at a ratio of 95%, equivalent to issuing an additional 635.07 million shares. The offering price is 10,000 VND per share.

The capital expected to be raised from this offering, amounting to VND 6,360 billion, will be used to supplement working capital and provide margin lending.
In addition, VIX also plans to issue 20 million ESOP shares as a bonus to employees at a price of VND 10,000 per share. These ESOP shares will be subject to a one-year transfer restriction from the date of issuance.
At the time the plan was announced on March 22, 2024, VIX shares were priced at VND 20,150 per share. Therefore, VIX Securities is preparing to issue a large number of shares at less than half the market price.
Recently, the Board of Directors of VIX Securities also announced additional criteria for selecting investors to purchase fractional shares and unsold shares in the offering plan. If the offering is successful, VIX Securities will increase its total charter capital to VND 14,593 billion.
The issuance of a large number of VIX shares will cause significant dilution and affect the share price on the stock market. Even before the official issuance, the price of VIX has already fallen by 20% compared to March. In the trading session on June 28, 2024, VIX shares were trading at only 16,400 VND per share.
