"Godmother - Adopted Child of the Association" program, fourth quarter, 2025

The program "Godmother - Adopted Child of the Association" has been connected by the Women's Union of Lai Chau city (old) since 2021. After implementing the 2-level local government, the Women's Union of Doan Ket ward continues to maintain and constantly expand. The program targets children from 0 to 15 years old who are citizens of Doan Ket ward, orphaned parents, orphaned on one side or whose family is in difficulty, and whose parents are unable to work. Each case of "adopted child of the Association" will be supported with a minimum of 300,000 VND/month, from socialized sources, the Association's fund and the cooperation of organizations, individuals and benefactors. In addition, the children are also supported with necessities, material things and spiritual companionship to confidently excel in their studies.

Women's associations in residential groups are the core force in propaganda, mobilization, and calling for community cooperation through social networks such as Facebook, Zalo, etc. At the same time, they monitor and propose to supplement the annual list of adopted children. Up to now, there are 14 children adopted by organizations and individuals.

With the initiative of the Women's Union of Doan Ket Ward and the support of the community, the program "Godmother - Adopted Child of the Union" will continue to spread profound humanitarian meaning, helping children in difficult circumstances gain more confidence, determination and development opportunities.

Teachers from schools in the ward also sponsor and support children to go to school.

Attending and speaking at the program, comrade Tran Dinh Tien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Doan Ket Ward was moved by the affection and efforts of the Ward Women's Union in the journey of accompanying and supporting children in difficult circumstances. He emphasized that each case of sponsorship is not only material support but also a spiritual support and warm affection of the community for those who still have many disadvantages. Comrade Tran Dinh Tien hopes that in the coming time, the Ward Women's Union will continue to expand its network of connections and mobilize resources so that more and more disadvantaged children can be cared for and supported to go to school.
