Special art program celebrating 15 years of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs

(CLO) The special art program to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity with the theme "Reunion of Bamboo and Apricot" will take place at 8:10 p.m. on November 16, 2024 at Hall A, Kinh Bac Cultural Center, Bac Ninh city.

The art program lasts 90 minutes, with an overall structure of 3 parts including: the Opening part is the singing and dancing performance "Inviting water, inviting betel"; the Ritual part is associated with the evaluation of the results of 15 years of preserving and promoting the value of the heritage of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs; the special art program "Reunion of bamboo and mai" includes 4 segments "Returning to Quan Ho land, Nguoi oi", "Vi - Giam verses immersed in nostalgia", "Ca ca dat phuong nam", "Farewell to you - Quan Ho comes back to the appointment".

The special art program is divided into segments, interspersed with singing, dancing, and musical performances that link events, creating highlights for the program... and at the same time using old songs, teaching scenes, and folk songs with new lyrics.

The program with the participation of professional artists and artisans from the Central and local levels, thereby expressing the pride and respect of the community and the young generation for the cultural heritage of humanity; affirming the important position of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs in the contemporary cultural life of the community, vividly demonstrating the preservation of the unique values ​​of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs.

At the same time, it creates special impressions and emotions in the hearts of viewers about a special art program because of the interweaving and harmonious combination of three Vietnamese folk songs that have been recognized by UNESCO as representative intangible cultural heritages of humanity, namely: "Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs", "Vi - Giam Nghe Tinh folk songs" and "Southern amateur music", thereby continuing to affirm the vitality and spread of the nation's intangible cultural heritages.

The program is broadcast live on Radio & Television of the provinces: Bac Ninh, Ha Tinh , Tay Ninh, VTC Television and Radio & Television of some provinces and cities.

Within the framework of the program, activities also took place such as: Meeting with artisans and artists of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs, associated with the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater; thematic exhibition: Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs - Preservation and dissemination; documentary exhibition: Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs - Identity and quintessence; festival of Quan Ho villages practicing Bac Ninh province in 2024...

According to the Organizing Committee, the organization of the celebration activities also affirms the role and responsibility of the authorities and people of Bac Ninh in building policies, increasing investment resources for the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values ​​in general and implementing the commitment to UNESCO on the conservation and promotion of the value of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs; continuing to organize activities to honor collectives and individuals with outstanding contributions to the work of preserving and transmitting the heritage of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs.
