On the evening of August 20th, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of composer Van Cao (1923-2023), the Vietnam Musicians Association organized the art program "Vietnamese Birds" to honor the late composer Van Cao.
The event was attended by President Vo Van Thuong, former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and representatives from Party agencies, ministries, and central departments.

Composer Van Cao dedicated his entire life to artistic creation and inspiring many generations. The "Vietnamese Birds" concert transcends ordinary artistic programs, becoming an artistic event for fans and the public to remember this talented artist in many fields of literature and art.

The art program "Vietnamese Birds" connects the main stage inside the Hanoi Opera House with the outdoor space of the August Revolution Square to recreate the special atmosphere of the historic August 1945 days, when the "Marching Song" first resounded amidst the vast crowd in front of the Hanoi Opera House. Also at the program, music lovers once again had the opportunity to enjoy famous works by composer Van Cao in all three genres: love songs, marches, and epics, such as: "Thien Thai," "Buon Tan Thu," "Truong Chi," "Mua Xuan Dau Tien," "Truong Ca Song Lo," "Tien Ve Ha Noi," etc.
From epic poems and long narratives to love songs, composer Van Cao created a musical chronicle of love for the homeland, national sentiment, a yearning for peace , and hopes for future generations. Through his works, composer Van Cao contributed a unique voice to the flow of Vietnamese music.
