According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the Prime Minister has issued a decision approving the transfer of the National Power System Dispatch Center (A0) to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the unit will be renamed the National Power System and Electricity Market Operation Company Limited.
According to Decision No. 753/QD-TTg dated August 1, 2024, of the Prime Minister , the right to represent the state capital ownership in the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO) will be transferred from the State Capital Management Committee to the Ministry of Industry and Trade after the completion of the separation and establishment of NSMO as prescribed.
Regarding implementation, the Government requests that relevant ministries, agencies, localities, and enterprises, based on their functions, duties, and authority, be responsible for organizing the implementation of this decision.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade is primarily responsible for preparing all necessary conditions for receiving the NSMO, including mechanisms to ensure working capital for the NSMO in accordance with regulations, ensuring that the NSMO continues to operate stably, continuously, and effectively after the transfer.
Meanwhile, NSMO proactively researches, proposes, and forecasts difficulties and obstacles in the operation process, making specific proposals and clearly stating the authority to amend, supplement, and issue new legal documents and guidelines related to the efficient and safe operation of the power system.
