(NLDO)- While cycling home from school, due to changing direction without paying attention, a 9th grade student in Thanh Hoa was hit and killed by a tractor trailer from behind.

On February 17, news from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that at about 3:26 p.m. on February 16, at Km 367+120m, National Highway 1A, passing through Nguyen Binh Ward, Nghi Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province, a traffic accident occurred, killing one student on his way home from school.

According to initial information, at the above time, LQN (born 2010, a 9th grade student at a school in Hai Nhan commune, Nghi Son town) was driving a bicycle into the inner lane near the median strip of National Highway 1A.

While changing direction, this student did not look behind and was hit by a tractor trailer with license plate 37H-071.xx, driven by NHT (born in 1985, residing in Quynh Bang commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province).

The traffic accident caused LQN to die on the way to the emergency room, the bicycle was damaged.

The initial cause was determined to be that N. was driving the bicycle in an unsafe direction, leading to the accident.
