According to the draw results for the AFC Women's Champions League 2025-2026 announced on the afternoon of September 11th, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club, as the second seed, is placed in Group C with Stallion Laguna (Philippines), Lion City Sailors (Singapore), and the reigning runner-up, Melbourne City (Australia).
They avoided Wuhan Jiangda (China), the team that reached the semi-finals of last season's AFC Women's Champions League and is also the defending champion of this year's group stage.
Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi's team will be the host of this group. The matches will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City) from November 13 to 19. Playing at home will give Huynh Nhu and her teammates a significant advantage.
Coach Kim Chi shared: "In this group, besides the Australian representative, who is a strong opponent and a potential contender, the two other teams, Stallion Laguna and Lion City Sailors, also have many naturalized and foreign players."
Therefore, figuring out how to beat them is not easy, but the whole team will strive to achieve our goal of getting through the group stage because we have the advantage of playing at home."

The 2025-2026 AFC Women's Champions League group stage will feature 12 teams, divided into 3 groups, each playing at a centralized location in Vietnam, Myanmar, and China, with matches taking place in November.
Subsequently, eight clubs, including the top two teams from each group and the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout round. The quarter-final pairings (two-legged) will be determined by a draw, which will take place in March 2026.
Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club is the most traditional team in Vietnamese women's football, with 13 national championships and 3 national cup titles. They are also the first Vietnamese team to reach the semi-finals of an AFC Women's Champions League.
It was in the 2024-2025 season that Huynh Nhu and her teammates made history by winning 5-4 against Abu Dhabi Country at home in the Asian quarter-finals. In the semi-finals, the team lost to Wuhan Jiangda 0-2.
