On August 31, Mr. Do Viet Hung, Chairman of Pleiku City People's Committee, signed a decision to transfer Ms. Nguyen Do Thi Bao Tran, a music teacher at Cu Chinh Lan Primary School, to work at Le Lai Primary School.
The decision also clearly states that Ms. Tran will start working at Le Lai Primary School from September 5, 2023.
The principal of Cu Chinh Lan Primary School is responsible for terminating the labor contract with Ms. Tran and the principal of Le Lai Primary School is responsible for signing a contract with this teacher according to regulations. Ms. Tran's salary and allowances will continue to be paid according to state regulations.
Previously, many parents filed a complaint against Ms. Nguyen Do Thi Bao Tran for her lack of initiative in teaching, poor communication skills and suggestiveness. This led to students not being able to perceive the lesson content... In particular, these parents said that in the process of testing and classifying students' learning outcomes, Ms. Tran was not objective and responsible.

On June 1, the Office of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee sent a document requesting the Pleiku City People's Committee to clarify the above information and report the results of the inspection and handling to the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee before June 10.
Immediately after that, the Department of Education and Training of Pleiku City stepped in and determined that Music teacher Nguyen Do Thi Bao Tran had committed many violations such as: arbitrarily correcting students' learning results; using words and language that did not meet the ethical standards of teachers; not keeping a notebook to record and monitor students' progress.
Specifically, during the two school years above, this teacher arbitrarily corrected the learning results of 75 students in the classes, without reporting or consent from the school principal.
In the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year alone, Ms. Tran edited 80 times/58 students. The edited content includes: 20 cases from good completion results to completed; 48 cases from completed to good completion; 8 cases from incomplete to completed and 4 cases of correcting comments...
The Pleiku City Department of Education and Training has requested the school to base on the conclusion of the inspection team, regulations on disciplinary action against civil servants, organize a review to clarify the responsibilities of organizations and individuals with violations for handling according to the provisions of law.
For many reasons, Pleiku City People's Committee has not been able to completely resolve the case according to the direction of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee.
On August 24, the Office of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee sent a document reminding the Chairman of the Pleiku City People's Committee to urgently report the handling results to the Provincial People's Committee before August 31, and at the same time requested handling to end negative public opinion.
However, while Pleiku City has not yet reported the results of the handling, right before the new school year, on the morning of August 29, in front of the gate of Cu Chinh Lan Primary School, a banner appeared with the words "Parents of Cu Chinh Lan Primary School, Pleiku City - Gia Lai protest against Ms. N.D.TBT continuing to teach music. Our children do not go to school to be mentally abused".
Afterwards, the local government sent police and civil defense forces to maintain order and security and remove the banner in front of the school gate. However, many parents present still gathered to protest against teacher Bao Tran continuing to teach at the school.
