Mr. Pham Cao Thai, Director of the Legal Department - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism spoke at the conference.

Foreign investors are not allowed to access the domestic travel service market, but are only allowed to conduct international travel services for tourists coming to Vietnam. Regarding compliance responsibilities, tourism businesses must periodically report (monthly and annually) on business results to the provincial or municipal Department of Tourism or the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In addition, current legal regulations also strictly prohibit violations in cinema and performing arts activities, such as: producing films with content that distorts history, incites violence, or does not have a film classification license.

According to Mr. Pham Cao Thai, these violations can lead to large fines (up to 100,000,000 VND depending on the violation) and additional penalties such as confiscation of exhibits or revocation of license.

Representatives of more than 100 businesses in the fields of culture, sports and tourism in Ho Chi Minh City attended the conference.

Mr. Bui Huu Toan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said that in recent years, the legal system related to the fields of culture, sports and tourism has been improved and supplemented to suit the requirements of socio-economic development and international integration. This places higher demands on legal compliance, management capacity and adaptability of enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises, which are an important contributor to the development of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.

This conference is a practical step to implement the Prime Minister's Project on improving the quality and effectiveness of legal support for businesses in the period 2021 - 2030. Through this, businesses have the opportunity to discuss in depth about new legal regulations, update requirements and standards on business conditions, as well as analyze practical situations related to activities in the fields managed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. At the same time, the conference is also an opportunity for businesses to directly reflect on difficulties and obstacles in the process of law enforcement. From there, propose solutions to improve the investment and business environment.

The contents shared at the conference will help the legal support staff have more feedback from businesses to propose appropriate regulations, thereby supporting businesses to proactively prevent risks and increase compliance with the law in the coming time.
