Vietnam Construction Trade Union and Corporation Trade Union visited workers affected by flash floods at Viglacera Minerals Joint Stock Company (Yen Bai)

Today, September 18, a delegation of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union visited workers affected by storm No. 3 at Viglacera Mineral Joint Stock Company.

On Viglacera's side, there were Mr. Nguyen Quy Tuan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Viglacera Corporation - JSC; Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha - Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Le Ngoc Long - General Director of Viglacera Minerals JSC.
During the recent storm and flood, Viglacera Minerals Joint Stock Company - operating in Van Tien commune, Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province - was one of the places heavily affected by flash floods combined with storms. The Company's assets were damaged by an estimated 1 billion VND. The raw material warehouse had collapsed walls, flipped roofs, and raw materials were affected.

At the same time, the families of 52 employees in the Company were also affected by this historic flood. Houses and properties were deeply submerged in water. Normal activities were interrupted. Currently, the employees are struggling to complete their housework and immediately return to work together to stabilize production activities soon.

Sharing the difficulties with workers in this important area, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union gave a gift of 1 million VND/person to each worker of the Company. The Viglacera Corporation Trade Union – JSC and the Corporation Office Trade Union – each organization also sent their workers an additional 1 million VND/person.

The Company's employees expressed their gratitude for the sincere sentiments and timely cooperation of the trade union at all levels. The Company's representatives also pledged to promptly deal with the consequences and encouraged employees to work together to overcome this difficult period.

It is known that right after the storm ended, the General Corporation's Trade Union regularly asked the grassroots trade unions to pay attention to the affected union members' families, and at the same time compile statistics and make a list to send to the General Corporation's Trade Union to plan timely visits and encouragement with the spirit that no worker is left behind in this natural disaster.
