Notably, Yokohama FC has assigned Cong Phuong the task of introducing, guiding, and sharing with these players in the coming days.

Regarding this, the Japanese team wrote: “This is part of a project carried out by the J-League. Yokohama FC receives players to train at the club academy with the aim of helping them improve their professional quality.

Young Vietnamese players at Yokohama FC will have the opportunity to interact with Cong Phuong, one of the pioneers of Vietnamese football."

In 2023, Vietnam U18 players will have the opportunity to face many top teams when participating in the U18 Asian tournament or Seoul EOU Cup 2023.

The 8 new players sent to Japan for training are also the core force of Vietnam U18 to aim for Southeast Asia U19 and Asia U20.

As for Cong Phuong, since joining Yokohama FC, he has not played a single minute in J-League 1.
