This year, Thanh Mien district launched the "Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to Uncle Ho" from February 19th to March 19th. Chi Lang Nam and Le Hong communes, along with the District Military Command, are the model units for organizing the tree planting festival. Thanh Mien will plant 60,000 trees of various types, the same number as last year. This includes 35,000 fruit trees and 25,000 trees for timber, shade, and landscaping. Global Green Seedling Company Limited is supporting Thanh Mien district with 2,560 teak trees, 1,365 bauhinia trees, and 1,270 red mulberry trees to be planted along roads, in office grounds, schools, cultural centers, historical sites, temples, and pagodas.
Thanh Mien District has distributed all of these saplings to communes, towns, and agencies in the area to prepare for the Tree Planting Festival.
