On the afternoon of February 4, a representative of the Traffic Police Department said that, implementing the direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security , the Department is focusing on directing local police to arrange forces and vehicles to patrol, control, and propagate to ensure traffic order and safety for people to travel safely and conveniently with the spirit of working "through the night, through Tet".
"In addition, we also strive to support people to return home to celebrate Tet safely. Traffic police forces of local public security have set up many support points and given gifts to people on national highways," said a representative of the Traffic Police Department.
At Ham Tan Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Binh Thuan Province) , the Station coordinated with donors to set up a gift-giving point for people in difficult circumstances on their way home to celebrate Tet on National Highway 1A (section through Ham Tan district, Binh Thuan province).
The traffic police prepared 350 gift packages containing sticky rice cakes, candies, drinks, wet wipes, and fruit to give to the people. In particular, if people were traveling with children, the traffic police would give them an additional lucky money envelope and a teddy bear.
According to a representative of the Traffic Police Department of Binh Thuan province, this activity aims to create more material and spiritual conditions and encourage traffic participants to drive safely on their way home for Tet, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and building a beautiful and humane image of the people of Binh Thuan.
In Binh Dinh, the Traffic Police Department of the provincial police also set up many support points for people returning home for Tet on national highways. In addition to giving drinking water and cold towels to drivers, the police also helped people fill up their gas tanks. Although the gifts were small, they also contributed to educating drivers on traffic safety and staying alert on their journey home.
In addition to giving drinking water, the Traffic Police Department of Son La Province also gave people on their way home standard helmets to ensure safety. With the characteristics of many steep mountain passes, and the time near Tet with thick fog, at the points of support for people, officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police Department of Son La Province also helped people check the safety conditions of their vehicles.
According to a representative from the Traffic Police Department, in the coming days, the demand for travel will increase significantly, creating immense pressure on traffic safety and order. Traffic police forces in various localities will continue to set up support points and distribute gifts to people returning home for Tet (Lunar New Year).
