(NLDO) - U23 Vietnam has entered the journey to defend the title of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship and coach and former player Phan Thanh Binh believes that Mr. Kim and his team will win the treble.

Sharing in the Talkshow "Let's support and cheer for the U23 Vietnam team" organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper on the morning of July 15, Coach Phan Thanh Binh - currently leading Dong Thap Club in the First Division - highly appreciated the U23 Vietnam team participating in the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Tournament.

Coach Kim Sang-sik has finalized the list of 23 U23 Vietnam players to go to Indonesia to participate in the tournament. In addition to creating opportunities for the new players to practice, compete, and gain experience, Mr. Kim's team also aims to defend the "throne" of U23 Southeast Asia. The Golden Star Warriors have won the tournament for two consecutive years.

As the defending champions, the U23 Vietnam team is in Group B, along with U23 Laos and U23 Cambodia. Coach Kim Sang-sik's team has been well prepared, possessing a squad of outstanding young talents of Vietnamese football and will start the group stage with a match against U23 Laos at 5:00 p.m. on July 19.
