Da Nang merges and establishes 3 new project management boards directly under the city.

Da Nang has merged project management boards (PMBs) under the city's People's Committee to form three new PMBs and announced the decision for two board directors to retire early.

On the morning of January 16th, the Da Nang City People's Committee announced the decision to establish the organizational structure and appoint leading and managerial staff for the Project Management Boards under the City People's Committee.

Accordingly, the Da Nang City People's Committee decided to establish 3 Project Management Boards by merging 6 previously subordinate Project Management Boards.

Da Nang has established three new Project Management Boards by merging six previously subordinate Project Management Boards.

Specifically, Da Nang established the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Projects by merging the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Civil and Industrial Projects and the Da Nang Urban Development Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project Management Board.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Nhat, Director of the Da Nang Urban Development Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project Management Board, has been appointed as Director of the Da Nang Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project Management Board, effective February 1, 2025.

The new Project Management Board performs the function of the investor and directly organizes and manages construction investment projects belonging to the following groups: civil works, industrial works, technical infrastructure works, and projects assigned by competent authorities or for which investors, such as departments and agencies, have signed project management contracts.

The Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Agriculture Projects was established by merging the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Agriculture and Rural Development Projects with the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation Projects.

The merged Project Management Board will be headed by Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy, Director of Investment and Construction Project Management for Transportation Works, effective from February 1, 2025.

The Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Agricultural Projects performs the function of the investor and directly organizes and manages investment and construction projects belonging to the following groups: transportation projects, projects serving agriculture and rural development, and projects assigned by competent authorities or projects where the investor is a department or agency that signs a project management contract as prescribed.

Finally, the Da Nang Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Management Board will be established by merging the Da Nang Industrial and High-Tech Park Infrastructure Development Projects Management Board with the Da Nang Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Management Board.

Mr. Le Thanh Hung, Director of the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects, has been appointed as Director of the Da Nang Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects effective February 1, 2025.

The Da Nang Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Management Board acts as the investor and directly organizes and manages construction investment projects using public investment capital belonging to the following groups: national defense and security projects; mixed-use projects; and projects assigned or managed by competent authorities for projects where departments and agencies are the investors under entrustment contracts.

In terms of organizational structure, the Project Management Boards will have four departments: the Organization - Administration Department, the Finance - Planning Department, the Appraisal Department, and the Operations - Supervision Department.

The handover and acceptance process for the Project Management Boards to become operational will be carried out in January 2025. The newly established Project Management Boards after the merger will officially begin operations on February 1, 2025.

Earlier that day, the Da Nang City People's Committee issued a decision regarding the early retirement of Mr. Nguyen Huu Hinh, Director of the Da Nang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, and Mr. Vo Tien Dung, Director of the Da Nang Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board.
