According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, the city's import-export activities continue to maintain growth momentum with increasingly expanding turnover, contributing to improving the competitiveness of local enterprises. The city's goods and services are present in many international markets, trade promotion policies and Free Trade Zones (FTZs) are facilitating export development, forming high value-added supply chains.

Da Nang's import and export activities in the first 11 months of 2025 continued to maintain growth momentum.

It is estimated that in November 2025, the total two-way import-export turnover of Da Nang will reach 750 million USD, up 1.4% over the previous month and 1.2% over the same period in 2024. Of which, exports are estimated to reach 385 million USD, up 1.1% over the previous month and up sharply by 12.3% over the same period, showing the resilience of key export industries. Imports are estimated to reach 365 million USD, up 1.6% over the previous month but down 8.4% over the same period last year, reflecting the trend of reducing raw material imports in the context of volatile world markets.

In the first 11 months of 2025, the total import and export turnover of goods is estimated at 8.17 billion USD, an increase of 8.3% over the same period in 2024. Of which, goods export is estimated at nearly 4.2 billion USD, a sharp increase of 13.3%, imports are estimated at nearly 4 billion USD, an increase of 3.6%. The trade balance continues to maintain a trade surplus of 181 million USD, contributing positively to consolidating the city's trade position, creating favorable conditions for businesses to expand markets, improve competitiveness and promote local economic development.

“The overall picture shows that the city not only maintains stable growth in exports but also effectively controls imports, thereby enhancing sustainability in international trade activities and contributing to overall economic growth,” said the Da Nang Statistical Office.

The agency said that currently, Da Nang's goods and services are present in many international markets, creating a solid foundation for expanding exports and enhancing the city's brand value. After the merger, Da Nang has more room for open development, and at the same time benefits from the strategic push called FTZ, opening up opportunities for breakthroughs in exports and attracting foreign investment.

In November, the city held a conference to attract investment in FTZ and logistics infrastructure with the participation of many domestic and foreign investors. Da Nang FTZ is expected to become a locomotive for regional economic development, playing a central role in developing the export of goods and services, and expanding international markets.

The Da Nang FTZ will also make an important contribution to increasing foreign direct investment attraction in the fields of industry, logistics and trade, forming supply chains and production with high added value locally, while promoting regional connectivity and international economic integration.

“The above efforts of Da Nang not only contribute to expanding export scale but also increase the city's attractiveness to investors, consolidate its strategic position and improve its competitiveness,” the Da Nang Statistical Office emphasized.
