At the end of the trading session on the morning of December 3, VN-Index increased by 8.32 points to 1,735.28 points. Trading volume reached more than 288.3 million shares, equivalent to more than VND9,672.3 billion. The entire floor had 171 stocks increasing in price, 125 stocks decreasing in price and 57 stocks remaining unchanged.
HNX-Index decreased 0.11 points to 258.76 points. Trading volume reached over 26.4 million shares, equivalent to over VND570.7 billion. The entire floor had 64 stocks increasing in price, 60 stocks decreasing in price and 58 stocks remaining unchanged.
UPCOM-Index increased 0.35 points to 120.05 points. Trading volume reached over 13.8 million shares, equivalent to over VND245.1 billion. The entire floor had 129 stocks increasing in price, 44 stocks decreasing in price and 76 stocks remaining unchanged.
Through market developments, the positive trend has become clearer. If in previous sessions the increase was mainly based on stocks with leading capitalization, this morning the green color spread to many industry groups, with more stocks increasing than those decreasing.
The VN30 basket had 15 stocks increasing in price, 13 stocks decreasing in price, and 2 stocks remaining unchanged. Strongly increasing stocks include CTG up 4.59%, BID up 2.04%, MWG up 3.38%, MSN up 2.16%, LPB up 1.47%, MBB up 1.27%, SAB up 1.15%... On the downside, all 3 Vingroup stocks, VIC, VHM and VRE, were in the red. VJC, GAS,FPT and HPG were also in the downside. This development shows a change in the role of market leader. In previous sessions, the increase was mainly based on Vingroup stocks.
In fact, the upward trend was strongly supported by bank stocks. Accordingly, only HDB bank stocks decreased in price. There were 3 stocks that went sideways:SHB , SGB and VBB. Up to 24 bank stocks increased in price, strongly supporting the market's upward trend. Most of the remaining stock groups were divided with green and red colors intertwined.
Overall, this morning's developments show that investor sentiment is gradually improving, with cash flow shifting more flexibly between industry groups rather than focusing on a few pillar stocks. If the green continues to be maintained and spread widely in the coming sessions, the market will likely consolidate the current uptrend, creating a foundation for a new uptrend in the short term.
