On the evening of August 27th, in Yangon, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Diplomatic Service (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025), the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar held a reception and film screening.
In his opening remarks at the screening of the film "The Buffalo's Summer" with the diplomatic corps and friends from Myanmar at Junction City cinema, Ambassador Ly Quoc Tuan recalled the proud history of the diplomatic sector over the past 80 years, contributing to the struggle for independence and the building of the country.
The Party, State, and people of Vietnam are always grateful for the support and assistance of countries, international organizations, and people around the world in the cause of national liberation and nation-building over the past 80 years.
During the more than 94-minute film screening, the diplomatic delegation and their Myanmar friends experienced a true story of buffalo herding during the flood season, reflecting the life, love, and emotions of the people of South Vietnam in the early decades of the 20th century.
Through the film, viewers can also see the Vietnamese people's yearning for freedom and independence, and their struggle for freedom and independence.
Over 30 ambassadors, chargés d'affaires, and diplomatic friends from 23 countries and international organizations, along with 150 guests who were friends from Myanmar, attended the reception and watched a film.
