General Phan Van Giang chaired the Central Military Commission Conference

Attending the conference were members of the Central Military Commission: General Luong Cuong, Politburo member, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Party Central Committee member, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense ; Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Minister of National Defense.

Also attending the conference were the Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and leaders of the general departments and functional agencies of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense.

At the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Head of the Editorial Team for the Project to Summarize Resolution 8 of the 11th Central Committee, reported on the preparation results and the contents of the request for comments from the Central Military Commission on the dossier "Summary of 10 years of implementing Resolution 8 of the 11th Central Committee on the strategy to protect the Fatherland in the new situation" to serve the Central Steering Committee to submit to the Politburo .

The conference listened to Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, announce and forecast the domestic and international situation related to and affecting military and defense tasks; and information on the content and program of the 13th Party Central Committee's mid-term conference.

Concluding the conference, General Phan Van Giang requested that the Central Military Commission comrades regularly grasp the situation, especially the contents related to and affecting military and defense tasks; focus on leading and directing the coordination with departments, ministries, branches and localities in implementing the goals of building and strengthening national defense and security.

Emphasizing that the 13th Party Central Committee's mid-term conference will consider and approve many important contents, General Phan Van Giang requested comrades in their positions, responsibilities and duties as Party Central Committee members and Central Military Commission members to actively research, promote strategic thinking, and actively participate in important issues that the Central Committee has identified in the conference agenda, contributing to the success of the 13th Party Central Committee's mid-term conference.
