On the morning of August 23, Nhu Xuan district solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the district Party Committee (August 25, 1949 - August 25, 2024).

75 years ago, on August 25, 1949, with the agreement of the Provincial Party Committee, the Regional Party Committee and the Western Executive Committee, the Nhu Xuan Party Cell convened a district-wide Party Congress at the barracks of the Security Zone in Dong Ot village, Yen Cat commune (now Thanh Xuan village, Hoa Quy commune). The Congress elected the District Party Executive Committee consisting of 5 comrades, comrade Nguyen Xuan Liem was appointed as Secretary of the District Party Committee. The first District Party Congress was a particularly important political event, marking the birth of the Nhu Xuan District Party Committee, the crystallization of patriotic traditions, a historical milestone, an important turning point of the district's revolutionary movement, marking a new development step in both quantity and quality of the local revolutionary movement; an inevitable result of the revolutionary movement in the district from 1930-1949. From this point onwards, the people of the ethnic groups in Nhu Xuan district had a Party Committee directly leading the cause of resistance, nation-building, and the construction and protection of the Fatherland.

Over 75 years of construction and development, spanning 23 congresses, the Party Committee of Nhu Xuan district has formulated policies and resolutions to lead the revolutionary movement in accordance with the local situation and realities, leading Nhu Xuan to increasingly sustainable development. In leading the implementation of political tasks, the district Party Committee has always identified economic development as the central task, Party building as the key task; and prioritizing social security, improving people's lives, and achieving sustainable poverty reduction as development goals.

Based on that, the District Party Committee has formulated many appropriate resolutions and solutions to effectively utilize the district's potential and advantages, seize opportunities, and take advantage of support from the Central Government and the province. It has focused on leading several key tasks, namely: promoting agricultural and forestry production towards a commodity-based approach; improving the investment and business environment; encouraging the development of advantageous industries and services; gradually building and perfecting infrastructure; effectively implementing the new rural development program; focusing on sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security; maintaining national defense and security; and building a strong Party and political system. Nhu Xuan, from a poor and struggling district, has gradually developed and achieved great successes in all fields.

In recognition of the achievements of the Party Committee, Government and People of Nhu Xuan District, the Party Committee and People of all ethnic groups of Nhu Xuan District were honored to receive many noble titles from the Party and State: 3 collectives and 2 individuals were awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces; 37 Mothers were awarded and posthumously awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother; 12 collectives and 14 individuals were awarded the Second and Third Class Labor Medals by the President and hundreds of collectives and individuals were awarded by the Prime Minister, ministries, central branches and the province. Notably, in 2014, the People and officials of Nhu Xuan District were awarded the First Class Labor Medal by the President.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Tuan Sinh acknowledged and praised the achievements that the Party Committee and people of Nhu Xuan district have strived to achieve throughout the 75 years of construction and development. He also urged the Party Committee, government, and people of Nhu Xuan district to continue upholding the revolutionary tradition and the spirit of unity and solidarity, striving to comprehensively achieve all the goals and tasks set forth.

In particular, it is necessary to promote propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the district, especially the young generation, so that each cadre, party member and people clearly understand and appreciate the process of birth, development and growth of the district Party Committee; widely propagate the strong breakthrough, the great and comprehensive achievements that the Party Committee, government, army and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Hoa province and Nhu Xuan district have achieved in recent years, so that each cadre, party member and people of all walks of life have absolute trust in the leadership of the Party Committee, have the will and determination to rise up, high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions to bring Nhu Xuan to a new breakthrough in socio-economic development, contributing to the overall development of the province.

Along with that, fully assess the potential and strengths of the district; change thinking, promote internal strength, rely on factors of natural conditions, land, people, cultural values, revolutionary traditions; take advantage of external forces and the attention of the province to make a breakthrough, making Nhu Xuan one of the leading districts in the mountainous region. Focus on rapid and sustainable economic development; Strongly shift the economic structure in conjunction with the effective implementation of district-level planning, Yen Cat town planning, Bai Tranh urban planning, industrial cluster planning, and infrastructure planning to maximize the potential and advantages of land, labor, and traditional crafts of the locality... Continue to comprehensively develop the socio-cultural sector; improve the quality of education and training at all levels. Preserve and promote the beautiful cultural values ​​of the ethnic groups in the area. Further enhance the quality of the "All people unite to build a cultured life" movement. Strengthen national defense and security, maintain political stability and social order; widely disseminate the "All people protect national security" movement, creating a stable and healthy environment for development.

Immediately after this anniversary celebration, the Nhu Xuan District Party Committee needs to urgently begin building a plan and preparing well the conditions to organize the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 35 of the Politburo and the guidance and instructions of the province; in which, proactively build major orientations, key solutions, and breakthroughs in the economy, culture and society, and building the political system to focus leadership, direction, and implementation to achieve the highest results.
