According to the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, students register for the survey to enter grade 6 from May 23 to 26, 2024. In the 2024 - 2025 school year, Thu Duc has 3 middle schools organizing surveys to enroll students into grade 6: Tran Quoc Toan 1, Hoa Lu, Binh Tho.

These are famous secondary schools in Thu Duc City, implementing high-quality programs of advanced schools, international integration. The survey to enroll 6th grade students of these 3 schools will be conducted on the same day, with the same survey questions, by the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City.

Specifically: Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School will enroll 9 classes of 6th grade (including at least 4 integrated English classes) with 315 students.

Hoa Lu Secondary School enrolls 11 6th grade classes (including at least 2 integrated English classes) with 385 students.

Binh Tho Secondary School is recruiting 8 classes of 6th grade (including at least 3 integrated English classes) with 280 students.

Candidates can register online for the 6th grade entrance exam on the primary school admissions website at https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn. Registration period is from May 23 to 26, 2024.

The survey is scheduled to take place from June 13th to 15th, 2024.

Expected result announcement time: from June 20 to 22, 2024.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, students can only register to take the 6th grade entrance exam at one middle school.

The results of this school's entrance exam will not be used for admission to the other two schools. If a student is not admitted to the school they applied to, they will still be placed in grade 6 at a regular secondary school according to regulations.

Do integrated 5th grade students have to take the 6th grade entrance exam?

Many parents are wondering: If a student has already completed the integrated 5th grade program and now wants to enroll in the integrated 6th grade program at one of the three schools (Tran Quoc Toan 1, Hoa Lu, or Binh Tho), do they need to take an entrance exam?

Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, said:

Students who have studied integrated grade 5 and want to study integrated grade 6 at one of the three schools above still have to take the survey like other students. If they pass one of the three schools, when registering for admission, students will register for integrated grade 6.

It is known that all three secondary schools implement an advanced, internationally integrated school model, resulting in class sizes of only 35 students per class. In addition, the schools enhance life skills training, foreign language instruction, and computer science education. Furthermore, tuition fees at these schools are higher than those at regular public schools.
