On October 7th, the prestigious travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler (USA) announced its list of "The World's Most Beautiful Islands in 2025," the result of a poll of nearly one million experts and travelers worldwide. In this list, Phu Quoc (Vietnam) was honored to be ranked the most beautiful island in Asia and third in the world, affirming the position of Vietnam's island and coastal tourism on the international map.
According to the rankings, Phu Quoc achieved a total score of 95.51/100, surpassing a number of other famous destinations in the region. The score was based on many criteria such as natural scenery, service quality, resort experience, cuisine , safety level, and hospitality.
The two islands ranked above Phu Quoc are both in the US, namely Kiawah and Hilton Head, surpassing other names such as Maldives (92.31); Maui of Hawaii, USA (93.35); Bali, Indonesia (89.84) or Phuket, Thailand (84.62).

The Hon Thom cable car is a sea-crossing cable car connecting An Thoi ward with Hon Thom island. The cable car line is located in the An Thoi archipelago, Kien Giang province. This cable car line is situated south of Phu Quoc island, approximately 25 km from Duong Dong ward.
The Hon Thom Cable Car at An Thoi Station began operating in 2018. It is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Phu Quoc. The Hon Thom Phu Quoc Cable Car holds the Guinness World Record for "The world's longest three-wire sea-crossing cable car, with a length of 7899.9m".
