Workers participating in vocational training
Having just graduated from a college-level forestry course organized by the Song Thanh National Park Management Board in collaboration with Quang Nam College in Nam Giang, Mr. Zo Ram Chuyen and 30 other students have all fulfilled their aspiration to upgrade their qualifications.
Mr. Chuyen is an employee of the Song Thanh National Park Management Board, but due to the remote location, he hasn't had the opportunity to receive the necessary training, despite having worked in forest protection for a long time. When the school collaborated with the Management Board to organize a training course, he immediately registered.
Meanwhile, in Tam My commune, a vocational training course in industrial garment making, linked to job placement immediately after completion, was recently launched by Quang Nam College, Chau Son Garment Co., Ltd., and the Tam My commune government.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang Ni (34 years old, Phu Tho village, Tam My commune) shared: “I participated in the counseling session hoping to receive support in vocational training and job placement to stabilize my life, as my family is currently facing difficulties. My child finished 9th grade but couldn't get into 10th grade, so I also hope the school can advise on suitable vocational training.”
Close coordination between the three parties
Mr. Tao Quy Tam, Deputy Director of Song Thanh National Park, said that the on-site training course, conducted by staff and lecturers from Quang Nam College, has greatly helped the management board's staff.

"This is a special course as all the participants are officials and staff working at the Song Thanh National Park Management Board - an organization that plays a crucial role in the conservation and development of the valuable forest ecosystem in the Central region."
Equipping staff with in-depth knowledge and skills in forestry will help them improve the effectiveness of forest management and protection, apply science and technology to practice, and thereby contribute to preserving the greenery of Song Thanh National Park and the surrounding primary forest area.
"This is proof of the 'practical training' model, which helps students learn and apply their knowledge right in the workplace," Mr. Tam said.
Participating in a vocational training and job placement counseling session in Tam My commune, representatives from Chau Son Garment Co., Ltd. affirmed that they will work with Quang Nam College to support workers in vocational training, internships at the company, and immediate employment upon graduation.
Mr. Ngo Thanh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Chau Son Garment Co., Ltd., said that the company is located in Nui Thanh commune, and currently 80% of its workforce is local.
Mr. Tuan informed: “Over the years, the company has always supported the communes in communication programs, career counseling, vocational training, and job placement for local workers. In the future, the company plans to expand its production scale in neighboring localities, therefore requiring a large skilled workforce to serve production. The company will coordinate with Quang Nam College and the communes to train and recruit local workers, as well as provide related support policies.”
Associate Professor Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Anh, Principal of Quang Nam College, said that in recent years, the school has coordinated with localities and businesses in the area to provide career guidance, organize vocational training classes at various levels, and help young people, students, and workers find employment after completing their vocational training.
The school standardizes training content and knowledge on occupational safety and hygiene, law, business, entrepreneurship, soft skills, and innovation for rural workers, meeting the needs of industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas in each locality.
"Training emphasizes practical application, especially from the production and business practices of enterprises, and strengthens the application of science and technology and digital transformation in all stages of the training process."
For each unit, locality, and learner, the school researches and organizes training at college and intermediate levels in an open, flexible, and appropriate manner.
"In the near future, we will continue to send staff and lecturers to grassroots levels, coordinate with localities in the mountainous areas of the city, and cooperate with units and businesses to support vocational training for workers," Ms. Phuong Anh said.
